Heat for your bathroom

Back to overview

Who hasn’t been there? It’s still dark outside, the alarm clock rings and with a loud shrill it brings you back to reality from your dreams. Out of the warm bed and into the cold bathroom. Your enthusiasm is limited, isn’t it? We have the solution: effective heat for your bathroom!

Let’s take a closer look at the room. Unlike other rooms in your apartment/house, a bathroom is a special room. The moisture that accumulates on a daily basis poses special challenges for all furnishings in a bathroom. Basically, the following should be noted here: when handling electrically powered appliances in damp rooms, it is particularly important to observe protection classes and regulations.

A perfectly normal morning

Do you have a standard convection heater that heats up your bathroom? Do you perhaps even have to get out of bed a little earlier every morning to turn on your heating? After all, central heating takes time to reach the desired temperature. You walk into your bathroom, it’s still a little too cool, but time is pressing … After showering, you notice that your mirror is completely steamed up because the hot steam has spread across the tiles and mirror surface. So you open the window, but alas … it suddenly gets cold and your mood is already at its lowest point in the early morning …

If the mirror is steamed up, it must be cleaned again and again.

As central heating systems are usually linked to outdoor sensors, even a warmer outside temperature does not change the heating requirement in the bathroom, as you often want it to be warmer there than in the rest of the living space. After all, the bathroom is often only used when lightly clothed or not clothed at all and you feel cold, even though the temperature in the bathroom is the same as in the other living rooms. The skin is damp and warm, the water evaporates and the body quickly loses heat.

Here we offer an ideal addition to your existing heat source. The mirror heater is made of lightly tinted glass and not only looks good, but thanks to the smart thermostat with WLAN function, it can also be set to switch on in good time before you arrive in the bathroom and preheat the room. When the temperature is reached, the heater switches itself off and guarantees that there is no overheating thanks to the overheating protection. Könighaus infrared heaters are of course TÜV SÜD tested and CE certified.

What’s special about the heat for your bathroom

Due to the direct heating effect, infrared heaters are particularly efficient and only need 2-4 minutes to reach operating temperature. The surfaces and objects in the room are heated immediately and then pass this on to the room air. A soothing warmth spreads, which is often perceived as being as pleasant as the sun’s rays.

Another positive side effect: the heated surfaces prevent the steam that has formed during showering from settling on mirror surfaces. This prevents the mirror from misting up and a quick airing afterwards is sufficient to allow the steam to dissipate. This eliminates the hassle of wiping and cleaning the mirror – and you have more time for your morning routine 🙂

The morning routine doesn’t have to be done frantically in a cold bathroom.

Assembly – made easy!

Do you already have a mirror hanging in your bathroom but want to switch to an infrared mirror heater? Then simply remove it and drill the appropriate holes in the wall using the enclosed drilling template. Insert the screws, hang up the mirror and plug the 230 V connection into a standard socket. There are fixed spacers on the back of the panel to prevent heat build-up between the infrared heater and the wall.

As well as being easy to install , the infrared heater also impresses as a space-saving heat source. Its shallow depth makes it ideal for small bathrooms and its simple elegance means it doesn’t stand out as a heater at all. In addition to the mirror heater, you may also be interested in glass or hybrid heaters, which you can also use wonderfully in your bathroom. You can find more information here.

Conclusion

An infrared mirror heater is a sensible investment both as the main heating system and as a supplement to a conventional heating system and provides effective heat for your bathroom. As there is usually no need to keep the room at a constant temperature in a bathroom over a longer period of time, but rather to heat quickly and effectively for short periods of time, an infrared heater is ideal. Thanks to their fast and efficient heat generation, you only have to wait up to 4 minutes on average for the heater to reach operating temperature. In addition, fine dust pollution is lower than with conventional heating systems due to the lack of air turbulence.
