- What is an infrared heater?
Infrared heaters are modern heating systems that use the principle of heat transfer through infrared rays (similar to the sun). When this radiation hits people, objects or surfaces, they are heated directly. The infrared heat is perceived as particularly pleasant and soothing.
Infrared heaters can be used as a local heat source to heat part of a room or to heat entire rooms. With regard to renewable energies, infrared heaters can also be used for climate-neutral heating and thus make a significant contribution toreducing CO2 emissions.
Könighaus is the German market leader for infrared heaters and holds patents on the technology used. Our production and printing facilities are located in Emmerich am Rhein.
- Advantages of infrared heating
1. pleasant warmth: Infrared heaters heat objects and people directly, which is perceived as particularly cozy.
2. operating temperature reached quickly: they heat up quickly and offer rapid comfort when they are switched on.
3. easy installation: infrared heaters are very easy to install and do not require any complex construction work.
4. low acquisition costs: In most cases, infrared heaters can score points with lower purchase costs compared to other heating systems.
5. energy savings: By heating people and surfaces in a targeted manner, infrared heaters can be very efficient and therefore save energy. They can also be operated with your own solar system.
6. flexibility in positioning: infrared heaters can be mounted at various points in the room or placed on stands.
7. less maintenance: unlike conventional heating systems, our infrared heaters require no maintenance.
8. air quality for asthmatics: By heating walls and surfaces evenly, infrared heaters can help to reduce humidity in rooms and thus counteract the formation of mold. The masonry stores this heat significantly longer and more effectively than the heat from convection heaters. - What material is an infrared heater made of?
The infrared heater consists of a heating mat (Carbon Crystal), depending on the model, the rear wall is made of plasterboard or aluminum, with a reflective foil on top. The frame is also made of high-quality aluminum.
- What is the difference between the P, M and E series?
The P series is designed for mounting on walls. It offers the most customization options. The (optional) use of feet turns it into a mobile heating station. The heater can also be printed, making it a real eye-catcher as a picture heater. Note: The P-series must not be attached to the ceiling.
The M series has been specially developed for installation on the ceiling/roof slope. If you require fixed wiring, we recommend working with a qualified electrician. It can also be used as a wall heater for permanent installation.
The E series is a wall heater and has an on/off switch compared to the P series.

- Infrared heating or convection heating?
House dust allergy sufferers will notice the difference immediately! The convection of a conventional heater stirs up dust.
Infrared heating, on the other hand, works with direct heat. Due to the lack of air turbulence, the fine dust pollution is lower and the unpolluted air increases general well-being.
- Infrared heater or fan heater?
A conventional fan heater draws in cold air, heats it and then blows it out. This means that the air is heated first and only later the people and objects in the room. An infrared heater, on the other hand, heats the people, furniture and walls in the room directly without heating the surrounding air first. The heated objects then transfer the heat to the room air. This principle is known as direct heat.
