All well and good – but how does an infrared heater actually work?
The functional principle of an infrared heater corresponds to the principle of the sun, which radiates natural infrared heat. The warmth of infrared heating is often perceived as being as pleasant as the sun’s rays. The rays first warm the surface of the body and are then transported further in the body. Heating with infrared radiation is particularly beneficial for allergy sufferers. This is because the lack of air turbulence in the room means that fine dust pollution is lower than with conventional heating systems and the unpolluted air increases general well-being. A conventional wall-mounted radiator, on the other hand, works with convection: cold room air is heated and rises upwards. As the warm air rises, cold air flows in – the resulting air circulation is often perceived as draughty.
And what does the fun cost?
The costs for operating our infrared panels are significantly lower than for conventional electric heaters, as infrared heaters require less energy to produce the same amount of heat than electric alternatives due to their direct radiation. Our infrared heaters reach operating temperature in just two to four minutes and their heat rays reach a distance of three to four meters. Another important point: the purchase costs of a Könighaus infrared heater are low compared to conventional heating systems. Our infrared heater is supplied complete with drilling template, operating instructions and installation materials, so no further precautions are necessary.
