Könighaus manufacturer’s guarantee for infrared heaters
The company Könighaus GmbH, Albert Einstein Str. 1, D-46446 Emmerich am Rhein (hereinafter referred to as Könighaus), grants you as the end user a durability guarantee on Könighaus brand infrared heaters under the following conditions and to the extent described below. The guarantee is only granted to end users, i.e. natural or legal persons who own the Könighaus product and use it themselves or in associated companies (also referred to as guarantee holders).
Warranty period:
The warranty period is 5 years or 10 years. Please check the product description for the relevant information before purchasing. The warranty begins on the day of purchase by you as the end user.
Condition of the manufacturer’s warranty:
In order to make use of the warranty, you must accept the warranty declaration within 24 months of the date of purchase. This acceptance is made by registering the product at https://www.koenighaus-infrarot.de/garantie/.
In addition, you must provide proof of purchase (a copy is sufficient) of the purchase of the Könighaus product covered by the guarantee and send us the defective product with a meaningful description of the fault to the address given below. You must also prove that the defect occurred within the warranty period.
Warranty protection:
Könighaus guarantees that Könighaus brand infrared heaters are free from defects (material, manufacturing and design faults) within the warranty period. The state of science and technology at the time of manufacture is decisive in this respect.
Functionality of electronic components and cables, freedom from defects of materials and their surfaces, in particular plastic, glass and metal.
The following applies to Könighaus infrared heaters with regard to the guaranteed proper heating function: Könighaus guarantees the proper heating function of infrared heaters with permanently installed heating mats in accordance with the service life of such heaters. According to the current state of science and technology, the heating performance may become slightly weaker over the course of the service life. Heating mats retain at least 70 % of their heating effect during their service life. A reduction in heating performance to this extent does not constitute a defect.
Warranty exclusion:
This guarantee only applies if the following conditions are met:
- The Könighaus products have been properly installed and used as intended.
- No unauthorized additions, conversions, modifications or repair attempts have been made.
- The products were cared for in accordance with the operating instructions.
- The connection to the power grid and the installation were carried out in accordance with the installation instructions.
- There are no chemical or physical effects caused by improper use (e.g. scratches caused by sharp objects).
- The products were not purchased as second-hand goods, 2nd choice or in factory outlets.
The guarantee only applies to new Könighaus products purchased in certain countries (EU, Andorra, Norway, etc.) and delivered to a distributor based in that country.
Warranty services:
If a defect occurs during the warranty period, Könighaus will repair or replace the product free of charge at its own discretion. Replaced parts become the property of Könighaus. This does not extend or restart the warranty period.
In the event of justified claims, we shall bear the costs of return shipment, but only to the kerbside and by prior arrangement. Further claims, such as compensation for operating losses or lost profits, are excluded from the guarantee.
Your statutory rights, in particular in the context of liability for defects or product liability, remain unaffected by this guarantee.
